Life Is Not A Dress Rehearsal

All the years leading up to adulthood we find ourselves saying "When I grow up, _____". Some little girls dream about their wedding day, some boys wish to go to college on a football scholarship, and so forth. What did you dream about "before you grew up"?

I can remember when I was younger, my aspirations ranged from a ballerina to a forest ranger! Yet here I am, neither. And that's alright with me. I wasn't one of your predictable adolescents who knew exactly what I wanted all along. I was more of a meanderer. Dabbling here and there, traveling some, trying my hand at different things. Then one day I decided to take up a hobby in photographyOne opportunity led to another and here I am, pursuing the things I love and making a living at it

Reflecting on this very thought this evening reminded me of the old phrase "life is not a dress rehearsal". When we are living in the moment we realize there may be many things we want to do with our lives. Who's stopping us from doing all of themWe aren't guaranteed a 100th birthday partyso let's pack in as much as we can while we're still growing up
