I recently had a conversation with my husband about how fast time is flying by. I feel like I am on a treadmill I can't get off of and that makes me sad sometimes. But wonderful as he is, he always gives me food for thought. "Well," he said, "Think about the alternative. Would you rather be bored and have tons of idle time on your hands?" His response was not what I had expected. But he was right. I think about the things that make me so busy and they are all things I have chosen for myself and enjoy.
There was a time in my life when I did have less chaos--before kids and before I found my passion for photography. If I were to compare then with now, I wouldn't trade a thing. If having my life this full of love and happiness means I have very little free time then so be it.
Although I can accept the busyness, I still like to find ways to seek out special moments for myself and my family. My best strategy at this point is better time management, a good night's rest, and taking lots and lots of pictures. As the season of thanks is upon us, I can say with certainty that I am truly grateful for the life I have been blessed with and appreciate all the wonderful people in it.
